Maximum Incentive:Maximum Customer Directed New Construction incentive per year: $1,000,000 of Public Benefit funds per year. Incentives are limited to eighty percent of the project's cost
If building meets LEED criteria and exceeds Title 24 energy requirements by at least 10 percent, customer can get a rebate of up to $47,500.
Design Team is eligible for ten percent of the approved customer rebate not to exceed $50,000
Eligible System Size:New construction projects larger than 25,000 square feet qualify for rebates.
Projects with a total approved savings that exceed two million kWh may qualify for a Design Team Incentive.
Equipment Requirements:Efficient electrical equipment installed in facilities served by the City of Santa Clara’s Silicon Valley Power is eligible for a rebate.
New Construction must exceed TITLE 24 by 10%
Project Review/Certification:Apply for approval of plans prior to making your purchases.

Summary:
Silicon Valley Power (SVP) offers a variety rebates to its business customers, capped at a maximum total incentive of $1,000,000 per customer per year. Rebates are available for the following:
  • HVAC systems  
  • HVAC and Chillers  
  • Commercial Washing Machines  
  • Food Service Equipment  
  • Lighting  
  • Motors and VFDs
In addition, Customer Directed Rebates are available for energy efficiency related projects that decrease electrical usage and may not otherwise fit into the other rebate offers.
