Federal Tax Credits for Reflective Bubble Insulation

UPDATE 5/12/09:  We have just been informed that the Department of Energy issued a statement that NO radiant barriers, regardless of manufacturer or reseller claims, qualify for the tax credits offered under "The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009."  The Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association International (RIMA) is currently in the process of lobbying congress to have the wording in the legislation changed to include radiant barriers.  Any updates to this issue will be reported here when available.  For more information, please see this statement from Energy Star.

Our reflective bubble insulation products DO QUALIFY.  See below for tax credit details.

  • The tax credit has been raised from 10% to 30%.

  • The maximum credit has been raised from $500 to $1500 for the two year period (2009-2010) for all improvements combined.
